I was so reluntant to take this photo because it was really freezing.
At 8, we went to TianAn Square. Hahahah. Totally funny lah. We are very heroic when we first alight the bus. Like, people were approaching us if we wanted to get the gloves, and all of us said no. After walking for 10 minutes, everyone started to ask for gloves and even masks. Hahahaha. I dont even want to take a picture of the place because it was too cold, but I did anyway. And yay, my camera battery died on me. So I was forced to change the battery in the freezing weather.
Hahahah. This is the photo which make me LOST.
Anyway, I was almost LOST when I was reaching Forbidden City (it's just behind TianAn Square) because I was engrossed in taking photo and my Daddy thought I went into Forbidden City first when auctally I WASN'T. I was starting to panic lah. So I was like "Just go in first, most probably they are there" and another second, I was thinking "At most I will take a cab back to hotel first, or how about appraoching the polic for help?" I was so afraid (and exciting too) and there were so many people (like Esplanade on 31 Dec 2007). And my glasses were covered with mist that I couldnt see clearly.
But anywhere, I saw Daddy after I entered Forbidden City. And XiaoMao (hahaha, the tour guide) told us so many stories which thrilled me. It's a bit strange to stand on the concrete which Emperors of the past had stand on, to be standing on something so majestic.
IMPERIAL GARDEN
I was :) because I saw a Ang Mo at China. HAHAHAHAHa.
I tink they are 500 years old?
And about the trees in the Imperial Garden that is 500 years ago, I had the same feeling. Like, I cant imagine Emperor QianLong walking by the imperial Garden, and I was walking on the ground he step on 500 years after. And I was looking at the trees he used to look 500 years ago. Did I ever mention I respected Emperor QianLong and KangXi?
The water was frozen for goodness sake.
So after that we went to HeSheng's (和珅) residence throught trishaw. I like the story of his. Legend has that he is the reincarnation of QianLong's first love (who died because of him). So Qian Long adores him a lot and even bethrothed his daughter to him. He was the most corrupt officer then and was put to death when Qian Long die. By right, everyone in his family has to die but his family was spared, because his family consists of the Emperor. Legend has that his reincarnation was Dowager Cixi because before he die, he left this : 「五十年來夢幻日，今朝撒手謝紅塵；他日水泛含龍日，記取香煙是後身！」. which tally with the birth of Dowager Cixi. He is a very brillant lad too, btw.
We passed by Jet Li's house (used to be), u know. Those house the rishsaw brought us to were like 600 years again. In the day, I tink it's interesting to be living in those houses, but in the night. NONONONO.
Afterwhich we went to YinHe Yuan (Yinhe Garden- where Dowagers live), where I finally see ICE (not snow). And I step on it. the feeling was.. errr. Neutral? But I dun dare to skate on it, because I was afraid of falling down and damaging the camera, or getting myself wet.
Status of QiLing. It was susposed to be a pair, but 1 was bombed.
The phoneix was placed here to show that Woman can rule better than Men (Dragon).
OMG. Dowager Cixi auctally see such beautiful sights daily. What a good life she had.
After that we went to have our meal which is very nice, the name is hahahahah, "Imperial Palace", that's where the Emperor used to eat okay.
After our dinner, I was almost BANG down by a big big BUS when I was crossing the road. Freaky thrilling? See, China Drivers dun give a damn to large group of peas on the road. I just keep walking and walking in front and then "POOOOOOONP", and I saw this bus so close to me. I was like "Hurry, take my left leg back" but I only done so after like 5 seconds? Yup. 3 more seconds and maybe I will be spending my CNY in.. ahem. =)
After that we went back to he hotel and we light up the firecrackers. Super chilling in the night. I keep shivering when I was taking a video, u know.
