hi! the above are all the photos I had for today. I'm waiting for my hair to dry now and it's already 1am and i hope I'm able to wake up in time for the Green Belt course in Motorola University (seriously!) tomorrow.

I was so damn thrilled in the morning when I met my colleague in the lift and told me that my supervisor KT is going for the Green Belt course for the whole week because I didn't know he asked me to attend that course too.

My eyes literally lit up (brighter than the street lights I swear by my life) when I heard that. I was so happy that I was practically moonwalking to my desk, then i charge and switch on my handphone and saw the message "Singyi, please attend the GB course in Bluebell room" and soon after that Sin Yao came and told me KT called her to ask me to join the course after there's no response from me (since my hand-phone wasn't on). Imagine my disappointment.

Anyway, my supervisor was the lecturer and the lecturer room was just a random meeting room, and I couldn't afford the chance to face-book or just surf the net because the place is rather small. I can't take it. I'm so used to surfing the internet at least for an hour drinking hot Milo in my desk. Sigh, imagine, 5 days of no face book. kill me seriously.

However, as the day goes by, the course gets more interesting. We get to experience on hand practical about Lean Six Sigma and I did learn quite a lot of useful terms, and not to mention, it did manage to help me understand more about the whole of Motorola, but project wise, maybe not much.. but then, there's 4 more days! I'm going to ask my supervisor if I can take the exam for the Green Belt course on Friday because it will look good in my resume as the Green Belt is actually recognized in a lot of industries.

After the green belt course, met up with my baby sister again for some shots because my baby sister just got a 60D, the newest camera model in the market which LCD can be tilted 360 degrees, so far, the only models I known of which has this function (or rather, as good as Canon's LCD) is Sony's NEX micro lens cameras.

the body is actually cheaper than i initially thought, but whatever the price is, I'm still satisfied with my Canon 450D even though I do grumble about it at times. :D I'm just not satisfied with my 24-70mm lens, it's a superb lens, but, with the money, I could use it for something even better.. like traveling! ha ha ha ha, or maybe not, traveling with a prime lens isn't exactly ideal hm.

And we wanted to go to Lower Pierce Reservoir to take photo of sunset but it failed once again because I didn't do a throughout search on the location as it was a last minute decision. I would have search so much more thoroughly if I was searching without anyone supervising me.

Fine, excuses, excuses. But no, before I travel to somewhere I don't know, I always make sure I get the directions right, and I rarely get it wrong. RARELY. -.- wait, not with my baby sister. My visual sense becomes kinetic sense. I feel rather I see. True, I always get my directions wrong when I meet my baby sister up, other than the Tanjong Pagar railway trip. crap, this is crap. but this is good.

Kinetic + Visual = good photograph!! HA!

But rest assumed my friends, for in March, I will do all sorts of research to make sure we will return safely. trust and have faith in me ha ha ha. The only issue I'm worried about is the time issue.. Maybe we shouldn't shop so much! Wait, right now, I'm only leaving 2/7 of the whole experience to shopping, other than that, we will probably be climbing mountains and going museum (i asked my colleagues, they say it's a must go, though I might have to sacrifice my Zoo trip..)

Anyway, back to today, in the end, my baby sister and I decided to go to Raffles Place. I don't really like the idea but since I screw up the Lower Pierce direction, I guess I should give my baby sister the opportunity to decide the location.

It's my first time trying night photography. I have never like night photography. It's like the lights are going to be there, it's man made, today you see the light in this way, tomorrow, it's going to remind the same too. Does the light bulb color change color everyday? No. And most importantly, it's hard to take a photo of moving object.

It isn't like a facial expression nor is it like the ever-changing sky. I like to capture and make the moment into eternal. That's the reason why I like photography. If I could take a still photo of a moving animal in the night clearly with vibrant color, alright, I might like night photography, but no, all photos which I seen taken in nights are non-living thing, like the traffic, the lights of the place, cars, food.

Photos of people in dark are never nice to begin with, i mean colors lah, if I want it light, you have to hold it long, and my hands are not that stable, furthermore, it will affect the background quality. If i want it fast, then the color will be dark and it's hard to get the color I want even with photo-shop. I like to take photo of people because our facial expression will never be the same twice.

But today's photography trip is fruitful. I'm rather pleased with my photos. Bokeh bokeh!! But my bokeh are rather meaningless, but still, i like it. :D

Oh, speaking of which, I haven't stalk my favorite bloggers' blog yet today. alright, that's random. HA!

I need a theme, I just saw from the newspaper (crap, i forgotten where i seen it from actually) about the exhibition in Food for Thought. The photographer took one year to collect photos of people eating alone, and interviewing them, some of the caption she gave is good. I find it a interesting theme. hmmm, I seriously want a theme too! Let me think, let me think.

So after finishing taking the photos, we went to Suntec City to have dinner. Just Acia again! I will never get sick of it. The atmosphere, the experience and the value makes it so worth well. It's like Starbucks, but cheaper than Starbucks (dude), I just heard from my colleague that the coffee in Starbucks is actually just mediocre, but people go for it because of the atmosphere and the experience. Then, she quote Coronation Plaza. I so agree with her. I don't mind spending the money just to sit in Starbucks, the whole atmosphere and experience just make it so worth. And I actually Google "Why is Starbucks so popular"

" It is not just a place to get a cup of gourmet coffee, but it has become a center for socializing and intellectual discussion, particularly among students and young urban professionals. Starbucks created a unique offering that was relevant and differentiated. It turned an ordinary and humble product into an extraordinary experience that customers are willing to embrace."

So during dinner, we talked more about our past days. My baby sister is right, the reason why I cling to the past is because I could only see the good out of my past. You don't get to see my real feelings in my blog.

Then when I was bathing, suddenly I realized my blog is a diary, it's not a journal. Maybe my baby sister treat a blog more like a journal while I treat it more like a diary? Look at my blog for the past three years entries, it's more about events than feelings.

"The difference between a diary and a journal is that a diary is there for you to write down what happened during the day and keep a record of stuff. A journal is to write your own personal feelings in, and things that happened, and how they made you feel. It's not the other way round..."

Now I feel so mean, I didn't see from my baby sister point of view, I insisted on "no, you are wrong, and I'm so going to prove why you are wrong. You can insist you are right, but whatever, I think you are wrong". I only see my own point of view. self-centered.
Maybe it's time I own a journal. But heck, I don't even have the time to write down my daily expenses. -.- excuses again! ha ha.

ps: I love this entry I post!
