hand in my MQE report today.
I actually like writing the report because I felt like I'm writing a blog post. :)
plagiarism is at all times low of only 3% (the first and only time)
mainly because the only reference is the power point slides found in MeL.
some are a bit twisted, but not far from the truth. :D

fungus

the Sigma 24-70mm lens which i brought is actually fungus-infected and it costs me $280. ):

I did check properly prior to buying because I spot that there's a spot with a lot of hair like strands but I didn't know that's fungus. I actually thought fungus are algae. I asked the person and he told me he don't know what it is but it's not fungus. And being ignorant, I just paid for it and was still very happy about it until this afternoon, when I sold this lens to another buyer, who ask for a refund at night because he feel unsafe about that spot but I sold him for $450, and he only ask for $400 as refund. well, I could properly use the extra $50 (with properly a little top up) to clean the fungus.

this fungus had me read on every little information about fungus for 3 hours by googling and I'm trying this method - using UV rays to kill fungus. Well, for this method, I learnt how to remove a UV filter (I've never bother to try in the past). let's hope I can ask for a refund. ): ):
the seller agreed to meet me on weekends to collect the lens from me.

however, I will still continue to purchase second hand goods.
this is me, I don't let a first time failure scare me.

Lesson learnt - i know fungus doesn't appear in the form of algae. And I'm glad I don't have a huge collection of lens because i don't have a dry cabinet to keep my lens in, and it is a must because fungus will grow if you keep it in dark and humid places for very long time. Well, gladly, I only have a 50mm f1.8 which I used it almost everyday and 24-70 which I use it almost weekly.

Changi Airport Terminal 3

Went to Changi Airport Terminal 3 with Siti and Satish to do our mini project 1. but as expected, we focus more on bonding via activities than studying. :D

I was late but was not the latest to reach. Hence, Siti and I went to explore first. it's been really long since I came to Terminal 3, the last time I was in Terminal 3 was 2 years ago when I was still Year 1.

they are the reason why I cut off my long fringe which i kept for 6 months.
All they did was to say "goodbye auntie" when they are leaving.
so i was thinking, maybe i will look younger with fringe.

they were really lovely to be with. I started off with sitting by the bench taking photos of them from far, then i started to walk nearer and nearer to them. Then this girl saw me taking photos of her and she came to me and asked me why am I taking photo of her. And before I know, I was actually teaching her how to use my camera briefly and her brother came, soon followed by her brother's friends. then the whole gang of them started to play with my camera and I was pretty afraid they will drop it on the floor but I just let them use it, because I believe I can trust them to take good care of my camera. :)

my weekends

i love blogging, and I try to refrain from blogging with only words.
that's why, I don't care if the photo is going to be related with what I'm going to write, I just force both elements into a post.

Childhood

Photobucket

Photobucket

“If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older.”
-Tom Stoppard

is that the reason why I felt like I'm still 18 even though I'm actually turning 20 soon?
or is it because time passes too fast i still find it hard to believe I'm turning 20.
i don't even feel like I'm 19, seriously.

but sometimes, carrying my childhood with me is tiresome when I recall and realize how much everyone, everything and every place have changed.
That's when it becomes a burden to me and the reason why I can't move on.

PPP Lesson

Went back to school for PPP today and found out from my classmates that I'm one of the EXTREMELY hardworking lucky one to pass AEIS common test because quite a lot of my classmates failed. Most of them expected me to fail because I'm always either late or never turn up for lesson but hell yeah I passed!

well, the PPP lesson is pretty useless to me actually. I mean it doesn't make me feel like I got the need to learn the skills at all. Like, telling us to sit in a right posture and maintaining a good eye contact, I known that all along, what's there to learn? But I enjoyed the lesson a lot, laughing at my classmates jokes and conversations between them.

all the photos were taken during our demonstration of interviews, which only two groups did it (including my group) hence only this few photos. I like the interview done by Fahzee, Azzrul and Din's group. They asked really random questions but was answered smartly by Siti and Satish, not to mention funny! I had such a hard time trying to take a decent photo because I kept laughing.

Asian Civilisation Museum

Photobucket

went to Asian Civilisation Museum with my juniors again. okay, i know i know, I've been meeting them like on a weekly basic for my holiday.

it's funny how life works, like, when I just left Fuhua, I can see that in the future I will be drifting further and further from my juniors, eventually to a point when we will become strangers, and then everything just stay in past tense mode, like my primary school memories. because back in school, the only time when we actually met is during CO sessions. But life works in a way that 3 years later when all of them already graduated and there are new juniors, they actually organized outings and actually included me, like, I'm still in CO, and nothing had changed yet, and that's why I never once refused to go out with them (or rather, everyyone). Because I don't want anyone to end up becoming memories, like my primary school life, where everything is past tense mode, and when i look back, i felt nostalgic about it.

Before we go to Asian Civilization Museum, we had lunch in a shop house located at Raffles Place recommended by Kevin. So he was raving about how nice the porridge is and everything before we reached, in the end, he couldn't finish his porridge because he finds the oyster and porridge too distasteful, which was initially what i wanted but thank god I didn't ordered, because when i see the words "baby oyster", i had the impression the oysters are going to be small.

I ordered fish porridge with pigs liver/kidney and it was nice! The fish is terrific and so is the pig liver/kidney. But i find the choices of porridge very limited and i took like forever (to my juniors) to pick what i wanted.

But other than that, i like the environment and the decoration of the place, and the porridge is very fulling (i still find it hard to believe i actually am full from eating porridge!!). It cost me $8 but i find the porridge worth of the money. :D

Photobucket

One is Jia Wei's sliced porridge while one is mine, but i couldn't differentiate which is mine and which is his. I think the 1st one is mine while the 2nd one is his, because I can see the pig liver in the 1st picture.

anyway, the above duck makes me chuckles when i saw it in Asian Civilian Museum. It's actually the first winning duck in the 1st Million Dollar Duck Race in Year 2002. I like how they actually preserved the dirt on the duck, because it makes me see (hey! I'm an extreme vision person!) the scenario where the ducks are all released into the river together from a lorry, and they float through the river together, and then at the finishing line, this little rubber duck actually won. then.. i see the date, 2002, okay, i just snapped myself back to reality if not I will probably be refreshing my primary schools memories again.

We stayed very long over here because JiaWei and Qiwei were reading extremely "interesting" books. And the chairs were extremely nice to sit on. Other than that, it feels like a restaurant but actually it's just a part of the exhibition to show the Chinese restaurant in the past.

if you look carefully, there's three faces. i had a really hard time taking this photo using my lens and Kevin keeps moving that i have to shout for him to keep still when Qiwei and JiaWei had no problem staying still.

this is one of the station where we stayed for very long, because we were coloring over there. It's been so long since I last use a set of colored pencils. The last time I colored was in Secondary 1 or 2 during art lessons. Apparently, I'm don't colored really that much during my school days, so nope, this doesn't trigger any memories for me. But if it's crayon.. then yup, it does trigger memories because I prefer crayons to colored pencil.
