chatuchak is auctally a garden. i wanted to capture the bubbles but i had no time to really go in front and take a shoot.

one such unique stall in chatuchak

Photobucket

went off to chatuchak via BTS (60 Baht for to-and-return trip) this morning and one thing i must mention: the food stalls there stinks like mad. other than that, i can still bear with it.

the whole place is very big and sells so many different type of things. handmade soaps, antiques, art pieces, clothes (obviously), travel bags; etc.

so in the end, i brought

Studded Tank Top - 200 baht/SGD8 (quite stupid eh me to get this)
High Waist Flowery Skirt - 200 baht/SGS8
Belt - 50 baht/SGD2
I love Bangkok Tee Shirt - 100 baht/SGD4

then afterwhich we took a really long ride in taxi (cos of the heavy traffic) to Plantium mall (again) to shop. oh ya, plantium mall is a very big place. there's like 3 plantium mall which i'm not sure what their names are, let me name them

(1) Plantium Mall 1 - very old old that type
(2) Plantium Mall 2 - quite new, and looks more trendy?
(3) Planitum Mall 3- VERY BUGIS. you can get 1 dress for 100 baht (remember bugis street 1 dress $10?)

So we went to have lunch at KFC at fashion mall and then starts our shopping;

outside fashion mall

at fashion mall, the things are pretty expensive (i will say it's like far east?) even though you are able to get cheap stuff if you really know how to dig

for me, i got (fashion mall)

(1) studded tank top (i know! i brought like 3 studded tank top.) - 100 baht/SGD4
(2) Pouch - 50 baht / SGD2
(3) Bra (ha ha!) - 100 BAHT / SGD4

Total: $10

my sis got so many english series DVD at like $1 plus per disc and the quality is good!

then after Fashion Mall,
we went back to Mall 1 and 2 to continue with our shopping which i got myself one more skirt at 150 baht/ SGD7.50.

the road that separates mall 1 and 2 (it's just a small lane)

inside mall 2

auctally i remembered i've brought more than that (i was carrying like at least 20 plastic bags) but couldn't really remember what other stuffs i brought. one plastic bag was used to keep water bottles which we brought for 10 baht/bottle.

we are susposed to go to the skytower to eat the international buffet which is highly raved by my cousins because

(1) the food is really nice
(2) it's open by a singapore lady

but we didn't managed to eat because of the traffic jame and even though the hotel is like just a 10 mins walk away from our current location, there's a dark alley in between and we thought we shouldn't risk it so in the end, we walked the opposite direction to BIG C for about 10 minutes during which i saw

(1) a small boy sleeping by the roadside where everyone is walking by
(2) the roadside stalls of thailand and the smell really makes me want to vomit. sometimes i really wonder how the people can withstand the smell. it's like OMG, really so smelly! so bad that i wanted to vomit!!
(3) the night markets there which i'm really tempted to shop. i'm too used to shopping in flea markets already that the night markets suits me more.

i thought the walk is pretty interesting thought i'm pretty afriad of pickpockets.

so BIG C is a supermarket (like Giant) where we brought REALLY a lot of tibits. and then off to hotel via taxi because we are really too tired (like ytd, my leg totally CMI)

and then we had dinner at our hotel cos we shopped till 10pm and all resturants were closed already. ):
