AE Camp 2010 - Day 1

AE Camp today! head off to school as usual and then off to Wisma with Siti to get my laptop. Had lunch in this place called Sakura or something in Far East Plaza and the food is terrible. I will NEVER want to visit that place again.

sorry, Siti's not as hardworking as you think she is. She's actually doing this personality test which i borrowed from the library (cos the teacher's lesson is way too boringgg!) while we are waiting for the food.

Photobucket

the claypot chicken rice which put me totally off.
The claypot is those with gravy that type of claypot, not that type of dry claypot.
And worst of all, Siti and I ordered the same one!
But I finished it because it's $6 and I'm way too hungry!

This is taken from outside a Japanese restaurant which is just beside the Sakura and I really wanted to dine inside but it's non halal! ): ):

After our lunch, we walked to Wisma and collect my laptop and head off to Bugis to get the remaining items we need for the camp. Afterwhich we head off to Cold Storage at Holland V (the one nearer to Sixth Avenue, not the one at Holland V central) since we will be visiting there!

I was way so excited because it's my first time at the Cold Storage there! it looked so westernized and when we stepped out of the bus, we saw 2 primary school student sitting in the bus stop road eating maggi mee! Siti and I immediately laughed, they are so amusing.

they are 1.5litres each, and according to one of the Year 2, each litre = 1kg.
(I seriously didn't know that until she told me!).
we brought like 12 bottle of 1.5litres drink, which is 18kg in total?
(not sure if it's 18kg cos I used my mental sum)

and because Siti was taking changes from the cashier, I took like most of the drinks most and before we divided the weight equally, the bus came. I wanted to run but i couldn't even run because the drinks are so damn heavy!! I was pretty afraid my arm will drop off if I run because it's really heavy! I mean, really afraid my arm will drop off, not just disjointed.

Then I alighted at NP bus stop to meet Peiyu while Siti alight at the next stop and carried the 18kg worth of drinks down the bus stop. In the bus, I was constantly thinking of ways to help her or something but I couldn't, in the end, she decided to call Cedric to help her carry the 18kg worth of drinks back.

So I met up with Peiyu and we went to IT Helpdesk because I desperately need to install a lot of programs (with CS4 the first priority) and it was so fun! We kept talking and laughing with one of the helper over there! So we stayed there until they shut down. :D

Then afterwhich I went to put my stuff in the LOFT and accompany Peiyu to the bus stop
(the longer one LOL i cheated her into going that way :p)

so I head back to the Loft and had the short briefing and we went off to fetch the Year 1 and 2 campers.

drawing faces using the crayon we brought earlier on at Bugis (to be exact, Middle Road).
It's $2 per pen, Jurong Point is selling at $2.90!

We regretted getting this crayon because the colour isn't obvious at all! ):

Mine was nice initally (I drew the two strokes across my left and right cheeks because Ethan Ruan also drew that!) but after they tried to help me, mine was pretty AHHHH! lol

So we bring the campers back to the Loft first to put their things down before we start with our games.

Photobucket

LOL! Siti purposely posed in this way because she was in "depression" after seeing the campers in her group. Both of us had the nosiest group each. I couldn't stand them initially but after the night walk, I realized they are actually normal campers. I mean, not as chaotic as they seem.

Starting of the games, Siti and I had a hard time because we couldn't remembered the games well (too last minute for me i guess!)

after the ice breaking games, we headed off for Night Trail aka Treasure Hunting. it's the only time when i can finally gain the upper hand HAHAHAH. But in the end we didn't win! we didn't managed to find the sticks at Canteen 4, Convention Centre and Alumni. And if I'm not wrong, we are being sabotage.

In Convention Centre, I called Cedric when we couldn't find it after searching for like 30 minutes and he told us the exact location but we just can't find it!

And then in Canteen 4 (as from what i heard from Siti who actually was the group who did most of the sabotage, that's why her group win!), we search the exact location too but we couldn't find them. Same goes to the one at Alumni.

On a ramdom note, NP's 3rd swimming pool is so posh!

anyway, after the whole night trail, we went back to the Loft and I was really really tired by then already.

then this guy (the one who was being "piggyback") above, he is actually a photographer working in Jurong Bird Park.
damn! i wanted to work there too! ):
it's probably a good chance to train up right? ): ):

And it's Siti birthday, so we brought a cake for her and celebrate before we continue with the debrief. I was actually struggling to stay awake during the debrief. It was so hard to do that!

after the debriefing, we went back to sleep (and the Year 1 and 2 are so energetic, a lot of them didn't sleep at all!). So the 4 of us drag all the beds out and slept together. But it was too cold for me apparantly so in the middle of the night, I sneaked into one of the room, on the fan and sleep.
