yeaaa i'm one of the leaders HAHAHAHAH. okay la, I've became a group leader because there's not enough GLs so i was asked to be one of the,. I've never been a group leader before, so well, I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I have this feeling I will do well. I mean this camp are meant for Year 1 and 2. And all my juniors are around that age!
for our AE camp, we will be having food trail on the 2nd day, so our meet up today is to try the route and see if there's any changes to be made or not.
Our first destination is Woodlands Market. We took 170 there and it takes about half an hour? (oops, I've forgotten the time taken!) no photos taken there because there's nothing to take! we didn't dine there too!
Next we took 170 all the way to Victoria Street. It takes so damn freaky long, like about 1 hour or so. But the ride wasn't bad because we kept talking. ^^ and I was extremely proud of myself because I know how to walk to Victoria Street from Northbridge (where the bus terminal is)! ^^
we sat all the way from one of the first few stations to the last station, and we were thinking if there's any other alternative bus stop we can stop at and change bus or something. but apparantly, no. ):
Passing through Victoria Market (if I didn't get the name wrong) to get to Victoria Street.
The coffee beans smell so nice!!! (okay this is totally unrelated to the photo above haha!)
Afterwhich we were supposed to take Bus 2 (couldn't remembered the bus we were susposed to take, but I'm pretty sure it's Bus Service No 2) to Changi Village to try the Nasi Lemak over there but we decided to skip Changi Village because it's going to cost us another 1 hour or so. In the end, we decided to eat at Beach Road.
(now i finally know the exact spot of Beach Road! all along, all i know is it's near to bugis and the Concourse)
Hwee Ping editing the food trail schedule if I'm not wrong.
I wanted to take a individual shot of Sasi but she refused! other than that, did you realised I've kinda removed her braces? (i know i didn't really do a good job in removing! but I've made it less visible!)
Cedric and Victor had the same lor mee from the same stall.
they brought it because it's a award winning store!
this store is super cute one!! the decoration are very westernized and cozy i can't help but fall in love with the shop! and this is the shop (in Beach Road) where we have to get something to eat for the food trail.
Hwee Ping with her lamb chop! she said she gave up chicken and pork chop after she tried on lamp chop! but i don't think I'm ready to try lamp chop la.
Sasi's lunch! I forgotten if it's chicken or pork though! ):
I had pig organ soup! And I think I must have been really famished. Cos I didn't even feel full after finishing the pig organ soup with rice! or maybe because the portion isn't big at all! i don't know!
Cedric's black sesame soup or something. couldn't remember the name.
the waffle dipped in chocolate! (the stall which we have to try for the food trail)
The chocolate is normal normal but I like it! So I kinda drink finish the chocolate hehehe.
it's actually costly and er normal? Not really worth the price of $2.50. but I don't mind having it again though! :p
after which we headed up to the 3rd floor (i know I'm going to sound ignorant or something, but I never know that the 3rd floor sells all NS stuff!).
so we brought all the things we need for the camp over there!
I tried the otah too! it wasn't really as nice as it smell!
Or maybe because I was comparing it with the otahs in Woodland Factory (oh man, the otahs there smell and taste spicy)
We are supposed to head over to Zion Food Center but we didn't know how to go and also, it's already pretty late already so we decided to skip that stop and head directly for The Daily Scoop!
The main plan is to dine in the Sunset Way's branch but we are on Bus 61 already, so we decided to change it to the one at Holland V! I got really excited when I enter The Daily Scoop sia! (I would never have know of this so-totally-awesome ice cream shop if my junior didn't bring me there that day!)
In the end, I choose Simply Chocolate with Waffle again! Initially I wanted to pair it with Brownie but it's going to taste pretty weird (as in, i can't taste the chocolate as it is!) so I choose Simply Chocolate with Waffle again!
this time round, I finished the ice cream first before I eat the waffle because there's chocolate cream on the waffle and it kind of dilute the chocolate ice cream taste if I eat the waffle first.
the world is my ice cream cone!
too much is never enough (so totally true!!)
i like this photo!
(oops, i realised I didn't photoshop away Sasi's braces!)
only Cedric and I dine there and we both got Simply Chocolate with Waffle.
oh, for this photo, he was auctally posing a smile, thinking i'm taking photo of his face but in the end I was auctally taking photo of him eating! I only know he was smiling or what when I show Hwee Ping the photo and she told me that!
taken outside of the kitchen store just beside The Daily Scoop!
I want to go in! but have yet to do so. ):
